Crackdown on IDs in Sheffield

An incredible 700 underage drinkers have been caught this year in Sheffield attempting to use Fake ID to get into the clubs and pubs in sheffeld.

The police say that bouncers have taken passports, birth certificates and driving licences from people trying to pass themselves off as an older friend, brother or other relative.

The practice has been praised and the home office now want to use this as an example of how other areas can deal with the problem.

The youngsters have been often sent to restorative workshops to educate them.
