Cardiff fingerprint for ID demand

The police have requested that clubs use a fingerprint scanner is associate with their ID cards and driving licence in a bid to curb alcohol fueled violence.

Club patrons can register and then use their fingerprints to gain access to a club. If a crime is committed then the ID’s, fingerprints and photos can be used to find the culprits.  Do you think this a good idea?
